These terms are the agreement between you and MINDEDGE INNOVATIONS PRIVATE LIMITED, which makes Caption Kit. Using the website or the app means you accept them.
Using Caption Kit
Caption Kit turns what you say in a video into styled captions. Speech recognition does the listening; your own browser does the editing and the exporting. It is good, not perfect — give your captions a read before you post them.
Accounts
- No account is needed to try Caption Kit. You'll need one for a paid plan.
- Sign in with Google or your email address, using details that are really yours. Keep access to that sign-in to yourself: what happens on your account is your responsibility.
- One person, one account. Extra accounts made to collect free minutes may be closed.
- You can close your account whenever you like — just email us. Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data.
What's yours, and what's ours
Every video you caption and every file you export belongs to you, and you're free to post it anywhere. You just need the right to use whatever you caption. The app, its caption styles and its code belong to us.
Paying for a plan
- What each plan costs, in rupees, is on our pricing section.
- You pay through Razorpay's checkout; your card and UPI details stay with them.
- Monthly and yearly plans carry on until you cancel. After cancelling, your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for.
- When you can get money back is set out in our Refund Policy.
- If a price changes, you'll hear about it before your next renewal, never in the middle of a period you've paid for.
Please don't
Use Caption Kit for anything unlawful, share a paid plan around, resell it, or try to break, overload or copy it. We may suspend an account that does.
What we can't promise
We look after Caption Kit carefully, but it comes as it is: we can't guarantee it will never be down or never make a mistake. If something goes wrong, the most we're responsible for is what you paid us in the three months before.
If there's a disagreement
Please email us first — most things can be sorted out that way. These terms follow Indian law, and the courts of Uttar Pradesh, India decide any dispute.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version.
